Cerjo Eye-Wear Brand Popping Up All Over

As you slather on sunscreen to protect your skin this summer, don't forget sunglasses to protect your eyes. The same harmful rays that damage skin can also increase your risk of developing eye problems, such as cataracts--a clouding of the eye's lens that develops over years.
In the short-term, people who spend long hours on the beach or in the snow without adequate eye protection can develop photokeratitis, reversible sunburn of the cornea. This painful condition can result in temporary loss of vision. When sunlight reflects off of snow, sand and water, it further increases exposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation. These invisible high-energy rays lie just beyond the violet end of the visible light spectrum.

Everyone is at risk for eye damage from the sun year-round, especially in a place like Arizona. The risk is greatest from about 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fishermen, farmers, pool-goers, and others who spend time in the sun for extended periods are at highest risk.

UV radiation in sunlight is commonly divided into UVA and UVB, and your sunglasses should block both forms. Don't assume that you get more UV protection with pricier sunglasses or glasses with a darker tint. Look for a label that specifically states that the glasses offer 99 percent to 100 percent UV protection. You could also ask an eye-care professional to test your sunglasses if you're not sure of their level of UV protection.

Sunglasses should be dark enough to reduce glare, but not dark enough to distort colors and affect the recognition of traffic signals. Tint is mainly a matter of personal preference. For best color perception, Prevent Blindness America, a volunteer eye health and safety organization dedicated to fighting blindness and saving sight, recommends lenses that are neutral gray, amber, brown or green. People who wear contact lenses that offer UV protection should still wear sunglasses.

Children also should wear sunglasses. They shouldn't be toy sunglasses, but real sunglasses that indicate the UV-protection level just as with adults. Polycarbonate lenses are generally recommended for children because they are the most shatter-resistant.

A new brand hitting the valley and offering wonderful eye protection, along with classic and trendy stylistic designs is Cerjo. This trending eye-wear brand offers eye-wear brand offers wonderfully delicate shades or protection, while still being trusted enough to produce sunglass

Arizona State Fashion Trends for Summer 2010

On the ASU campus finals are finally over, and in true ASU style it’s time to celebrate at graduation parties in style. With the temperatures finally creeping over the 100 degree mark a few key styles for guys are standing out.

The number one style popping up all over the campus is tank tops. Guys are becoming more and more brazen in their desire to bare more skin, and the tank top offers this opportunity. While the tank top is no longer limited to muscle-bound body builders, it should be noted that you WILL be showing more skin, so make sure you are presenting the best of yourself, if you're willing to risk it with a tank top.

The number two new hot guy's look to hit the streets of Tempe is the jean short. While this look hasn't been able to make it across the 202 and into Scottsdale quite yet, you can bet its headed that way. Jean shorts are all over campus, with most people choosing to roll them just above the knee, as shown to the left. One thing to keep in mind, is jean shorts seem destine to provide countless "upon further photo review" fashion laughs, so make sure you're confident enough to pull these on. For some guys wearing a simple slick Khaki short or relaxed cotton short is a better option.

Like in the mercurial world of women’s fashion, men’s styles have an ebb and flow, with things falling out of favor long enough to come full circle and be “ironic” or “retro.” This seems to be the trend of the summer at ASU. Tank tops, jean shorts and plastic strip adjustable hats all fall into this mode. The return the of the adjustable hat, is the final trendy showing up on the ASU campus. It doesn't really matter what's on the front, but guys are trending towards large color blocking patterns with high-crown body.

The Weight Loss Sunglasses

I recently came across a site that advertised sunglasses with blue tinted lenses, that aid in weight loss.. is this color psychology accurate or just an optical illusion?

Traditional eyewear has been designed to filter out blue light and tint instead of accentuating it. the blue lenses make it harder for the eyes to focus and force strain; this, aiding in self-control. Furthermore, blue is the "least appetizing color of the spectrum." Blue shades have been said to increase the levels of serotonin in the brain, a neurotransmitter that is directly linked to mood enhancement.

These bold, blue, beauties have been hpotted on hot Hollywood faces like Johnny Depp, seen in Japan rocking these cobalt frames wile promoting the third installment in the Pirates series. There are mixed emotions and opinions about the "Weight Loss Sunglasses".

What do you think.. Are Blue shades an Arizona trend to trash or follow?

The Trendy Arm Bands

At the gym, the golf course, the mall, even the grocery store everywhere I go I seem to be seeing one active-male accessory these days. It's nothing more then a small colored arm band, after a little research I learned what this new craze was. The Trion:Z negative ionic gear bracelets combine fashion and function in a small but statement making bracelet

According to the company, Trion:Z bracelets and necklaces bring negative ions and twin 1,000 Gauss magnets together to form the most unique product of its kind today. Trion:Z is made with "Mineon Health Fibers", a unique material woven with negative-ion producing minerals, which generates and releases more than 50 to 100 times the negative ions of the metal "ionized" bracelets, silicon tourmaline-embedded bracelets, and titanium bracelets of the competition.

Trion:Z bracelets and necklaces use 1,000 Gauss axially magnetized magnets, arranged in a patented Alternating North-South Polarity Orientation (ANSPO) matrix that increases the penetrating power of the magnets.

The claims some people are making about these bands range from, curing major back pain, relieving minor aches, to suddenly improving one's golf game. While I will leave it to others to prove or disprove these claims I will say they do make a very subtle and impressive fashion statement. They have also launched a recent NCAA version of the product, and have already inked a deal with the University of Arizona, and are hoping to inked Arizona State in the near future. If you can't wait until they have the Sparky logo, you can currently can buy ASU maroon and gold bracelets at the Student Book Center 704 S College Avenue, Tempe, Arizona 85281 480-966-6226.
